As with any reno, the kitchen is usually the most arduous, most expensive and the most time consuming, but this kitchen totally changed the way we lived! I knew it would be light and bright but I never guessed it would be as inspiring and adored as it has been. This space wasn't always the kitchen. As per most 1950's home, the kitchen was small and pokey with one high window that missed the stunning rural view. There was a strange verandah that stretched the width of the house and after weeks of framing, roofing and glazing, it was transformed into a light tunnel- the perfect space for a new kitchen and a new heart to a well loved house.
