Houzz TV: Create Your Own Mural Wall With Easy DIY Stencils and Stamps
Looking for a way to give your walls some fun? Kristin Nicholas may have you covered. When faced with walls of simple whites and pastels in her 1751-built home, the artist took action by painting almost every wall in vivid colors and patterns, such as adding mottled chartreuse and gold in her living room and a fun blue flower pattern to her stairwell. I would love to have a home like that, love the farm, the house and all the color. I finally own my own home but am too afraid to paint the colors I want, now that I can, I still have that apartment mentality, no holes in the walls, no color on the walls, etc. Someday it'll sink in that it's mine to do with as I please, and I'll use this home as inspiration. I can't wait.

Although this technique is not my favourite it made me want to find out more and I listened to her interview. I recognized her dining room as having been featured in another house article which I had loved. I admire Kristin's energy, freedom and abandon In her approach to art and decor. She is so full of creativity her art and home are embodiments of life itself. It is liberating and inspiring to watch for a perfectionist such as myself.

Well, the house isn't my taste, but I love the 'Garden of Family Farm Life Mural' and especially her paintings of animals. Love love love color, and this house had lots of it. Obviously a lot of love is here.
