London Houzz: Tour a Contemporary Loft in an Old Victorian School
Ross Targett had a gem on his hands. His loft-style apartment in a converted Victorian school building in the UK featured charming period details and a location in a prime London neighborhood. But the late-1990s conversion had created a look and layout that didn’t quite fit his lifestyle. Looking to update the space with a more contemporary Japandi style with clean lines and a generous balance of white and wood finishes, Targett searched Houzz for an interior design firm.

Lovely renovation. I like that they respected the space they had and didn’t try to turn it into something it wasn’t, while also injecting some real style. Well done!
Very nicely done. I would like to know more about the acoustic panels. Are they part of the wood slats or two separate components?
Thank you for your comments we love it too! The Wood Slats are all one component.
Beautiful. Love it.
love ittt👌
Love it. Looks amazing
A lot of nice art work! Well done
A great redesign, many nice features from the designer all enhanced by some fantastic artwork.
A stunning building. Although it was lovely before, I think the new adaptions have just enhanced everything. The huge windows provide such amazing light. I’m not a fan of galleried areas as they seem to take away privacy, but it has been nicely done. My favourite is the kitchen area. Bring back wood! Combining it with white walls and fantastic art is perfection.
I love everything about this home. Extremely well done. Would like to know where you can purchase the acoustic panels from.
Thank you everyone for your lovely comments!
This woman is genius!
I wish they would show the two layouts side by side.
Beautiful having nature growing inside. Which type of tree is in the open living space?
Okay Mr. Ross, if you're done with our house, we'd like it back! LOL. What a renovation. It is fabulous. It has to be very nice to come home to all of that! It is an amazing design. Akiva rocked it. The keys, please.
