Tour a Spanish Colonial-Style Beach Home With Amazing Views
In this episode of Houzz TV Live, designer Rachel Morrison of Denise Morrison Interiors takes viewers inside — and on top of — her client’s Spanish Colonial-style beach house in San Clemente, California. A rooftop patio covered in antique terracotta pavers features an outdoor kitchen, bar, fireplace, dining area and living area, all with jaw-dropping views of the Pacific Ocean.
In the kitchen, cabinets feature fronts with laser-cut woodwork create a uniquely textured detail. A cream-and-blue mosaic tile splashback coordinates with other Moroccan influences found throughout the home, such as the arabesque-patterned tile splashback in a spacious bar area off the living room. Morrison also discusses her approach to creating a cohesive lighting design and highlights details in the main bathroom and bedroom and two guestrooms.

I’m in love with the light fixtures
This is a beautiful home located in my home town! However, strangely, my eye is drawn to the kitchen cabinet on the end that is missing its hardware. They must have been short 2 knobs!

So love this home. So elegant & comfortable. I’m just starting to remolded an interesting Spanish style home with beautiful bones which just needs some love. My goal is to stay authentic to its architecture. Not the easiest task. So thank you for sharing these ideas!!
