I love gold and had high quality polished gold for 28 years, renovated this year and used lots of brushed gold/brushed champagne brass. Trends can be a trap. Do what you love. Mixed metals are fine…maybe because stainless appliances are ubiquitous and usually sits with chrome…or brushed nickel…or bronze…or brass…or gold….
