I know talvera tile can be purchased at much less. I prefer the royal blue to the dark. Again, prefer one or two designs vs. this crazy quilt approach.
Hmm. I don't need so much metal but this would be a great compromise between talvera and current tastes.
I think I would prefer all of one tile. I like how several tiles intersect with another pattern when they are similar. However, there are several blue-plus tiles here I like. I would even consider having some around the opening of the fireplace.
I still like hand painted tiles. I like blue.
