If you imbibe every day, you might need your vino close at hand. If you abstain until the weekends, it may mean you can stash your wine somewhere other than the kitchen or dining room. However, if you have the luxury of a spare room under the house in which to house your collection then you can go for broke! Most importantly, wine needs to be out of direct sunlight, away from the heat and steam of ovens and stoves, and laid down if the bottle is corked.

2. Try a concealed wine cupboard
A cupboard, such as this one in a kitchen in St Ives, Sydney, not only keeps your bottles handy for cooking and quaffing, and dust free, it makes use of a small nook in the kitchen.

8. Go up high…
Hard-to-reach cupboards, like these ones, can be good places to hide wine, as unlike other pantry items, there’s often no reason to return the bottle after you remove it. Bottles are also easily grabbed by the neck when you want them, but placed here they are also not too visible if you are trying to curb your intake.
