Yarrabank completed a major extension and renovation of our family home in Camberwell and were a pleasure to work with from start to completion. It was a difficult site but the project came in with in our budget and we are extremely happy with the quality of the work. The home was completed ahead of time and Ryan even attended our property some time later after the hail storm and personally replaced one of the roof tile which had been damaged when our insurance company let us down. Could not recommend highly enough.

As an architect, I was looking for quality builders to build my own home. Yarrabank did a great job. They were alway focused on achieving a balance between quality outcome and affordability. They were great communicators, keeping us informed about changes, issues and options that arose during the build. The new home project was finished on time and on budget. 4+ years on we are still very happy with the result.

My husband and I hired Yarrabank Builders for a large renovation of our heritage home. We were thrilled with the results, and with the process of working with them, and we can recommend them highly and without reservation. Our renovation had some complexities, which Yarrabank took in their stride. We live in an Edwardian home, sited on a hill. Our renovation included demolition of a previous renovation, and we wanted to continue to live at the house during the build. We were keen to renovate it in sympathy with the original building. Ryan Vernon spent time sitting down with us and going over the details, and he was knowledgeable and open to our ideas. As well, I had chemical allergies which needed to be taken into account, every step of the way, in the choice of materials. Many builders, when quoting, were dismissive, but Ryan listened, and committed with ease and grace to the project of making the build as low allergy as possible. He alerted me to possible issues, and spent his own time finding solutions. These included changing the way the building was done, such as the method by which the floorboards were secured. The renovation took nine months, from March to November 2018. Though our living at the house complicated things, Yarrabank made it possible. All those who worked for the company were pleasant and courteous, and were a pleasure to have on site. They were helpful to us in ways that were over and above expectations. The subcontractors who were chosen were of very high quality, and their time at the house was managed and co-ordinated very well by Ryan. In addition, when we spoke to the man who installed our shower screens about how happy we were with Yarrabank, he told us that that is what he hears on all of their building sites. All through the build, communication with us was excellent. My husband and I generated a number of job variations, and these were recorded and agreed before being integrated into the original payment schedule. The building was done with care and precision, and we are over the moon with the result. Everyone who sees it is full of admiration. It looks beautiful and is perfectly crafted. To top it all off, the build came in under time, and under budget. This company is outstanding in its expertise, professionalism and customer service, and we have unhesitatingly recommended them to others. We are happy to have the chance to do so here.

We engaged with Ryan for a partial demolition and renovation of a single fronted Victorian project in Burnley last year. The decision to choose Yarrabank during the tender process was an easy one - based primarily on Ryan’s communication, punctuality during the consultation process and enthusiasm for the build. Though there were a handful of unexpected planning and design challenges that arose during the build, none were too big for Ryan to resolve and with minimal project impact too. The close relationships that he has forged with his various tradespeople are clearly evident and reflect in the high level of craftsmanship that were delivered in our finished product. There can be an information “unknown” for those that have not built before, but Ryan bridged this gap seamlessly by putting in the time to clearly explain and articulate how each aspect or process of the build worked. Ryan and his team bring a high level of professionalism and organisation to their work and we would have no hesitation in engaging with them again on any future build and/or renovate needs.

We hired Yarrabank builders for the renovation/extension of our traditional 1910 era weatherboard home in 2016. Our renovation consisted of a modern contemporary extension with lots of glass windows and doors built to a detailed architectural design and specification. It was incredible to see the communication between Ryan and Scott as the job progressed. Although we dealt with Ryan primarily, Scott seemed to be up-to-date on any conversations. We found them to be a very thorough, considerate and respectful team of builders, who were happy to trouble-shoot any issues as they arose and who worked well with our architects throughout. We performed the electrical installation on the renovation and they made this process easy and were very flexible to work with. We felt very lucky to have them on our team, on what was an important renovation for us. They made the build a pleasurable experience for us and we found the end result to be of a high quality. With the organisation and high calibre skills of Scott, Ryan and their team, we would recommend Yarrabank Builders to anyone.

Ryan and the team at Yarrabank did a great job with renovating an old extension on our place into a modern living space. They always kept us up to date with progress and discussed key decisions when it was needed to ensure there were minimal delays. And they even helped us sort out some other issues around our house at a very competitive price. For any disputes, of which there were very few, they were always very reasonable. Yarrabank builders were engaged to complete an extensive renovation to our 1920’s double brick house in Northcote which involved the whole front half of the house and adding a second storey to that part of the house. The project was overseen by our architect. It was a 7 month build and we met with Ryan and Scott on a fortnightly basis. We could not be happier with the result and the process. Our dealings with Ryan and Scott were more than professional: they cared about our project and went beyond expectations. The project was finished exactly on time to the day and the quality of the work was excellent: we have been through two previous house renovations and the quality of work that Yarrabank produced is proving to be superior in every way. After almost two years living in the house we are constantly pleased with the work completed by Yarrabank.
