Had an incredibly positive experience building with Grand Cru Developments. The owner Vito who “saved the day” for us on countless occasions. We truly felt like we were graced with a owner/operator who understood and advised us on the technicalities of the structural build, grasped with detail and excellent taste the finer components of our internal fit-out (reflecting his high-quality architectural qualifications), and was constantly a positive person who was available around the clock with constant updates. If I build another house (and I could never say never), I would have no hesitation using Grand Cru Developments again. Vito was always supportive and gracious around our management of our children with meetings and inspections - not easy in the midst of a massive house build from the ground up. It seems that nothing is too hard for this guy, he’s incredibly patient with detail, and he's an extremely switched-on and technically skilled professional in the building industry. Grand Cru Developments demonstrated their flexibility in design and execution on our recent renovation project. Renovations are littered with small surprises which can increase costs and delay execution. Vito was very responsive and positive in making suggestions to keep things moving forward, and his attention to detail has been noted by all people who have visited the unit. Words cannot even come close to put into context the sincere gratitude and appreciation we both have for the fantastic job Vito D’Angelo from Grand Cru Developments has done for us in building our family home, and not just to build it, but to exceed our hopes and expectations, complete the build well before the estimated completion time, with no absolutely no fuss whatsoever and very importantly for us UNDER budget! Prior to engaging Grand Cru Developments, we deliberated for months and months in relation to who to appoint to build for us, had countless meetings with other builders with a common outcome, being fed a lot of sales spiel, inaccurate costings and quotes, very limited if any flexibility at all and just generally getting messed around. Then we met Vito and Grand Cru and all of that changed! Vito was referred to us by 2 independent people and it was the best decision we could of made. We had so much flexibility, no hidden agendas or surprises, detailed costings down to the towel rails! We even came under budget due to Vito’s honesty and countless recommendations where we were advised to follow Grand Cru’s leads to achieve various outcomes that we had sought to achieve but for lower costs (to the detriment of Grand Cru as it was a cost plus contract) No builder does this! That’s how we know irrevocably Grand Cru had our interests ahead of theirs! We even had neighbours that have lived in the street for 40 plus years comment how safe and clean the site was and that our site was not a typical “builder’s site”. The level of service and attention to detail was unrivalled, other factors that drew us to Grand Cru as we know from day 1, we had the luxury and benefit of dealing with the owner/builder and not being lost in the system with the traditional project home builders. We were comfortable that through building with Grand Cru, we wouldn’t be put through the typical scenario of as soon as you sign the contract with the builder, they’ve lost interest in you in as their main priority now shifts to chasing new business. This never remotely was the case here. We have absolutely no reservation in recommending Grand Cru Developments to anyone looking to experience a pleasant, stress free and enjoyable build, in fact we have recommended several friends and family members already. Vito was our supervisor when we were building in 2013 with Zorzi. I had many different ideas which I brought back from Japan. I am sure that I was giving him a head ache sometimes. But Vito never said it's impossible. He always found the way to make things possible and gave 110 %. This was the second time to build our house to us and from the bad previous experience, I did not think building house could be fun and exciting. I had a great time working with Vito and we are loving our beautiful house. I strongly recommend having Vito for the most important project in your life.
