Gervaise Interior Design

We were doing a house renovation and I needed someone to help me with colour matching and flow throughout the house. Jacqui was recommended and she was excellent. She is thorough, thoughtful, fun to be with and brimming with ideas. Nothing was too much for her and our shopping trip to choose bathroom appliances, lights and tiles was quick and fun because she was so organised. The renovation is still in progress and I can't wait to see the finished product. Jacqui goes above and beyond!

We have just had Gervaise make-over our lounge and dining room. I have zero confidence making major home improvement decisions, having made some very poor (and expensive!) mistakes in the past, that we have just had to live with. This time I knew I needed help and contacted Jacqui from Gervaise. Following a visit where they looked at the space and we discussed options, we went with the mood board and shopping package. Jacqui was mindful of the budget and communicated clearly at every step; ensuring we were happy with their suggestions and purchases. We met for a purchase discussion when I had a couple of concerns and I was left 100% confident that I was in good hands. A couple of weeks later they came to work their magic. To say we are thrilled with the result is an understatement. These girls have created light, bright, stylish rooms that are simply stunning. I initially engaged Jacqui and Sue for an in-home consultation for advice on things like what size and shape dining table would suit the space best, what would be the best placement of my sofa and tv, rug placement etc. They came in with loads of ideas, suggesting using mirrors, adding baskets etc. I really liked what they were saying so much that I ended up handing everything over to them and asked them to prepare a mood board and shopping list for my space. I loved what they came up with. It was very mindful of my small budget and the colours and style of furniture suit me perfectly. They took into consideration that I have a small dog as this could influence what fabrics would be most appropriate. They suggested the most important things to purchase first and then the items to follows as funds allow. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Jacqui and Sue from Gervaise Interior Design.

I was Jacqui’s first project in Perth in May 2015, when she helped me replace a tiny 80’s Kitchen and Laundry in my 2x1 townhouse. It was a fun job, with many iterations of the design to remove the wall, open up the space and enclose the laundry, pantry and provide the extra cupboard to store the vacuum cleaner, ironing board and other kit, cleverly. Through out the entire project, Jacqui supported my many ideas and decision changes! I really enjoyed working with her and recommend her to anyone who has a vision but doesn’t have the skills to design it and communicate it to the builders.

Jacqui and Sue worked their magic, and rearranged my home in ways I would not have thought of. It looked fantastic! They also put together a couple of really useful mood boards with great, good quality options. I would definitely recommend Gervaise.

Jacqui was really easy to work with and quickly understood our brief and delivered an outstanding result for each room right down to the small and important details.

Sue first came to me for my design brief, likes, dislikes etc. Jacqui then submitted a design board of furnishings etc for my approval. From here the girls sourced such furnishings, prints, clock, lounge chairs, external wall hanging with pricings and again ensured these were to my liking. Once approval was given the girls and male assistant returned with these items and hung rods, curtains, prints, exterior wall hanging, lay rugs and transformed 5 areas of home with simple but effective changes. I still get compliments today which of course is lovely.

An amazing high energy team that managed to transform my dull house into a dream home within a couple of hours! Their eye for detail and true passion for decorating shone through, and the results spoke for itself. I highly recommend them, my home feels so much more open. It was a truly astonishing transformation!
