Had a very informative 2 hour session with Nellie recently who visited our home to offer her thoughts and advice on how we could give our home a freshen up. Main issue was what colours to repaint and where. Followed by giving new life to our lounge, family/kitchen area and main bedroom and hallway. Nellie had some great ideas on colour and texture ideas plus placement of furniture and thoughts and suggestions on few new pieces that would suit our own thoughts and ideas on what we liked. We highly recommend Nellie to anyone looking for help with new ideas and to look at everything with fresh eyes. She agreed with us that primarily our home is our home and not a show place and so her suggestions and ideas were in keeping with the way we like to live. Now we have a plan and a direction to follow and have started already with the paint suggestions which will form the basis to going forward with her other great ideas. Thank you Nellie!

Nelly is down-to-earth, unpretentious and one of the most delightful designer to work with. She is prompt, patient and very resourceful. She listens to our needs, helps us overcome challenges that we faced by giving us smart and lots of DIY ideas. Amazing eyes for details, thoughtfulness and absolutely creative. I recently separated from my husband of 18 years, which saw me having to start over from absolute zero (no furniture whatsoever). Adding to my woes was the fact that my small, rented villa had peculiar shaped rooms and very dated interior colour schemes. I was completely overwhelmed at the thought of having to decorate from scratch on a very tight budget, so I reached out to Nelly from Twinkle and Whistle for help. Nelly has been brilliant in every single way. She came in UNDER budget, but still managed to source some beautifully unique pieces that I would have never found on my own. She took the time to come to my house and have a good long chat about the styles and colours that I liked, and somehow took all of my ramblings and delivered a look that perfectly represents 'me' and my lifestyle. But above all else, she was kind and compassionate to my personal situation and made sure I was okay with everything before we moved on to the next stage. I cannot recommend Nelly enough and would definitely use her again.

I engaged Nelly to give us some ideas on how to achieve a consistent flow of decor throughout our house. We bought the place partially renovated with half the house being original 1970's and the other half very modern with an extension being added in a very contemporary style. The extension has a lot of natural wood finishing and we had been struggling to work out how to integrate this into the older part of the house. The house has some challenging rooms too in terms of furniture placement with pillars breaking up spaces and creating limitations on furniture configuration. Nelly was amazing! She gave us some fantastic ideas on everything from colours for walls, flooring, curtains, suggestions on how we could use fabric to give rooms different moods and as well as furniture colours, placement and texture. The consultation delivered a seamless integration of new ideas and fabulous suggestions we would never have thought of while still working within the parameters of our desired style. Nelly came to our house to give us some advice about some rooms and spaces that were not working for us. Her advice was practical, affordable and easy to implement. Nelly has a very keen eye to detail which is a priceless attribute when hiring an Interior Stylist/Designer for a photo shoot. Clients hire me to photograph interiors of all kinds and hiring people like Nelly makes my job just that little bit easier. I asked Nelly to come to my home to give me some ideas for my living areas as I'm currently renovating. Nelly was on time, professional and comprehensive with her advice. She helped me clarify what ideas i already had and suggested new and creative ideas I never would have thought of that will work well. I hired Nelly at Twinkle & Whistle to help with my kitchen design. I wanted a certain look & 'feel'. Nelly understood what I wanted straight away and I felt confident to leave it with her while I dealt with the rest of our renovations. Because Nelly also understood the vision of the house I would often email Nelly for advice on light fittings, paint colours etc etc & she was always so prompt in her replies that I would be surprised :) I look forward to having Nelly come into our home to add her finishing touches when our renovations are complete.

We hired Twinkle and Whistle to help us with a full renovation, inside and outside, of a house that had been built in the early 1980s. Before hiring Nelly, we had lots of ideas and we were having trouble making decisions. In Nelly's very first visit she listened to our plans for the house, and then gave us great advice on colour schemes and room layouts which removed a lot of confusion and put us on the right path. She immediately followed up in the days after with emails detailing all aspects of her designs, including links to all the specific products we would need to purchase. She is very aware of budgets and she helped us to stretch our budget by digging up products on sale, or less expensive options, and she even found many items on gumtree and other classifieds ads that dramatically reduced our spend. We had Nelly visit the house several times as we progressed through the renovation, as each room as completed and as we moved on to the next project. She was always very open to our ideas, she gave very sound advice that was well-referenced, and after each visit she promptly put all her advice in writing, with moodboards, links to products, drawings, etc. We were extremely pleased with our renovation, and very happy with the Nelly's service. Nelly provides great value, we recommend her to people all the time.

We utilised Nelly via her e-decorating service to assist us in purchasing a coffee table. Although technically we only required advice on the purchase of a coffee table, Nelly delivered so much more. Our living room is now the beautiful, warm and inviting room we always hoped it would be. Nelly gave us her time (even though she was on holidays!), her thorough advice and listened to what we really wanted. It's amazing what was achieved without even seeing our room. We look forward to inviting Nelly over to assist with a few other rooms in the future.

Nelly provided styling advice and a moodboard for the redecoration of my 3 year old daughter's bedroom, and our master bedroom. Our aim was to redecorate on a budget (without it looking cheap) with a French inspired style fused with modern elements in each room. We interacted with Nelly via email only, but it wasn't long before we felt that we'd established rapport, and it was clear that we were on the same page from the outset. Nelly addressed everything we expressed we'd like, and adapted our ideas to make them work with the size and layout of each room. Where we weren't 100% sold on an element she proposed, Nelly offered alternatives. Her advice also made us think of things we wouldn't otherwise; e.g. height to hang curtains at, furniture placement against walls we hadn't even considered before, and industry suppliers and websites we didn't even know about. Her communication was thorough, easy to follow and her responses were timely. In fact, she was the one following US up most of the time! This was fantastic for keeping our progress rolling along, and while we're not yet finished either room, we're keen to tick some more items off our "to do" lists this January while we're both on annual leave. We also felt that Nelly's contribution to our projects really gave us the "excitement" boost we needed to get us feeling inspired about the re-decorating which had been something we'd wanted to do for some time. She really gave us the kick start that we needed Overall we found Nelly to be very knowledgeable, well organised and thorough, honest yet flexible with her ideas/options and as such, this was a wonderful experience for us. We have no hesitation in recommending Nelly's services, and once we have the time (and the budget), we'll likely ask Nelly to provide the same service for our living area too!
