Bankson Design

This prospective design job was a fantastic challenge which I took on with enthusiasm.

The family kitchen area had so many issues to overcome, such as numerous doors, windows and traffic areas which made furniture and cabinetry placement difficult. Added to this there were dead spaces too large to decorate and too small to fit any furniture. There was no space for sofas and chairs. The cooktop was positioned between a fridge and pantry.
All these issues were pointed out to me and I duly set about resolving them. I gave the client lots of visual images to demonstrate how clever design can create a functional and beautiful space to love, within a specific budget.

Good design requires a leap of faith, and not everybody can do that.

Bankson Design is a professional and experienced design studio which strives to achieve the best results for its clients. We stand by the design solutions proposed in this instance, and if implemented would have addressed the design shortcomings raised and significantly added to the capital value of the property.
Had it been made clear from the outset that the client had no real intention of addressing the many functionality problems initially raised as serious shortcomings, the client’s dissatisfaction (raised after the fact) would have been easily avoided.

Sadly, this is a lost opportunity.
