NAGEL building & carpentry

2023-2025 5 week job , still incomplete after 2 years. Constant excuses. Illness, rain, over and over again. Only worked 2 hours per day if he came at all. Work was not to standard- and unsafe for my children we are left with an unsafe- not to BUILDING code - unfinished Structure. Using less materials than agreed in our contract.. Specified in the quote and approved by council- Used low quality timber instead of what we asked and paid for. Dangerous and took all our money.

After dealing with a previous Builder who failed on many Breaches of the Australian Building Code to build me a deck and verandah, resulting in Demolition and a Court Case, I was referred to Jason. He built a deck for a friend. I saw his expertise at work during its construction. I was very impressed with the final result and so asked Jason to rebuild my deck. He did exactly as I asked , was helpful in all stages of construction to keep me informed in writing of the processes involved. As a result I have an excellent Australian Spotted Gum deck with a verandah and Colorbond CGI roof sheeting. The southern side of the deck is adjacent to a large Council park. There is a plasterboard wall for privacy. Partway down from the top of the wall is a "window" of horizontal sheet of the ColorBond CGI to enable me to see the park, without actually being seen. My deck and verandah has been much admired. I wholeheartedly recommend Jason for your project.

Jason has just completed a Moroccan pergola transforming an old ugly driveway into a spectacular addition to the garden. I was impressed with his knowledge, expertise and problem solving. As a single lady he respected my vision and did not ‘bully’ or try to alter my ideas. On request for advice, he always offered many options and explained technical aspects clearly. His quote was very competitive and came in on budget, making the whole project a pleasant experience. Jason is builder with a positive outlook and a sense of humour.

From arranging engineering reports & council approval for our semi cantilever design, customising supports, balustrades and our gate, nothing seemed too difficult. Jason not only provided a very competitive quote for my outdoor deck and Verandah but also provided excellent service from beginning to end of project. Council threw up some barriers but Jason attended to these and came up with a solution that enhanced the final job and met council requirement. I have, since completion of this project, hired Jason for a further 3 home projects and did not even consider obtaining alternate quotes as I have complete confidence in getting a good price and an excellent job from Jason. Very professional service doesn't cut corners on quality materials, project advice and on-site safety. Always puts the customer first and has been great when it came to issue resolution relating to a separate contractor. Very respectful of all parties. Always on-site, on-time Keeps in constant contact with us and lets us know in advance if any of his plans change. Was very keen to work with our architect and provide advice to make sure we got our design on paper first time so we weren't constantly making expensive changes during the build.

Jason was professional from our first conversation through to the completion of the job. He kept us informed throughout the whole process and we are extremely happy with the quality of the work that was done for us. It has improved our outdoor area immensely.

Jason (& Brad) replaced an existing (30 year old) decking. Deck was of unusual shape, on 2 levels & incl. 5 sets of stairs. As well as providing a competitive price, from the outset they provided a level of care and attention to detail, high skills & pride in their work that continued throughout the build. The age of the existing decking threw up some unexpected issues, but they always quickly found a solution. I hired Nagel Building & Carpentry to supply and install some cladding to an existing carport at my property near Blackwood. They designed a timber framed solution clad with colorbond panels to close off two sides, increasing privacy and protection to the area. Jason and his guys were friendly, easy to deal with and professional. They got on with the job promptly and with no fuss.
