Imperfect Interiors
This lovely Victorian house in Battersea was tired and dated before we opened it up and reconfigured the layout. We added a full width extension with Crittal doors to create an open plan kitchen/diner/play area for the family, and added a handsome deVOL shaker kitchen.

Quote from the designer:
"A tiny haven in the city. More than ever even the smallest outdoor space has become the most precious retreat to connect with nature and take in some vitamin D.
This little garden which is only 14 square metres (a further 19 square metres for a car parking space) the fretwork screens divide the two spaces, screening the car and creating a private place to sit.
The planting includes lime green tumbling Lysimachia, Persicaria amplexicaulis ‘Golden Arrows’, (not in flower yet) Euphorbia wulfenii forming the backbone. " - Georgia Lindsay Garden Design

Backyard makeover. Building on existing elements (Palm trees) we removed a lot of outgrown and outdated material and freshened up the patio borders with colorful canna's, various bromeliads, Alocasia California, and a fresh layer of mulch and landscape pebbles. Landscape boulders break up the lines and specimen Bromeliads provide touches of interest.

Twisted Rock Terrascape & Design, Inc.
A very small backyard where space was at a premium. Our client wanted a sitting area with fire pit and low maintenance was a priority. We designed a simple stamped concrete fire pit patio that butted up to the corner of the yard and used beautiful natural rock slab step stones to carry from the lower walkout patio to both the fire pit patio and the Rundle side yard. Black mulch and some nice plantings rounded out the project. Easy and clean!!

This garden has been created thinking about the concept of Essence in two meanings: the first, and more obvious, concerns the extract obtained from a plant; the second, the deep human feeling of “being”, the intrinsic nature of self. In an era where every resource is widely available, we can easily forget about the true meaning of wellbeing. This garden wants to focus on the production of wellbeing and explore the relationship between nature and health. The productive space develops around a spiral, a link to classic architecture and to the pattern commonly found in nature. The curved path sits on a rocky landscape encuraging a slow walking pace. The planting all around aims to stimulate the visual and olfactory senses: from the sculptural olive trees to the aromatic borders, almost all the species selected have uses in aromatherapy as medicines or cosmetics. At the center of the garden a seating area invites the visitors to settle back, while a gentle sound of dripping water transports them into a serene meditative state.
