Ok, so I received the other handle I was looking at from Sydney. The smaller one , does come in a larger size if required, it is however satin chrome and would match the octagonal knobs. The new one is brushed Nickel , the same as my pendant lights. I had not even noticed this until the new handle arrived as I did not hold them up against the lights. If I chose the nickel ones I would need to also choose a new knob for the cabinets. Thoughts appreciated :)

I am referring to knobs on my doors. Cabinets are bronze downstairs and nickel upstairs. I don't want to have to change doorknobs to sell, which might be in a year or two. So, is it weird to do nickel upstairs and bronze down? Or is is better to do the whole house the same?

Hi Kathrynmc1 sorry it has taken me a couple of days to reply. My kitchen cabinetry measures 2.9m x 4m the island is 2,9m x 950. It all works a treat I enjoy easy access to my laundry which has heaps draws and above bench cabinetry, this is a great place to keep my party platters & bowls ect. I left space for the fridge so as it was in close to the kitchen door it’s perfect. Space in my kitchen was paramount to my design. I have miele under bench side by side washer & dryer. Miele dryers have a condensation tank to trap the moisture.. so moisture in the laundry is never a problem. They are well worth the added expense.

the cabinet doors need to be the same width across the whole wall and don't need to line up with the bottom cabinets and drawers..estimating the space to be about 2m with 3 equal spaces made up 6 equal doors about 30cms wide each...it's not necessary to match the bottom cabinets and quite normal to have different sections of wall cabinets slightly different widths and heights and siruskey's idea of having the new cabinets taller than those above the stove, to give the look of a dresser, would be excellent...the cabinets above the stove should be around 60cm tall and the cabinets on the other side could be up to 75cm tall
