Dark cabintry in Kitchen, help with colour
Comments (19)Hi. Just want to say that in my opinion matt white is a good choice for the top cabinetry as opposed to glossy. I've had both and much prefer matt as it does not show the finger prints. I believe it is also a more modern look. I think mine is not quite matt, but has a slight sheen. Love the idea of the darker contrast, I think it will look smashing. Best wishes. sydneymidge...See MoreKitchen help please !
Comments (7)thanks oklouise for your input. Plan is pretty much finalised. Area/ alcove beside Bathroom will be for dumping shoes, bags etc, and the entrance to kitchen on that side is closest access from carport for groceries, and probably our personal access without stairs. The other kitchen hallway near Bed 3 will be the main access for guests to bed2 and 3 and bathroom. Yes our cooker is a big present to ourselves, we are both big cooks ( one chef), so question is.... can we get away with a cheaper cabinet style ?...See MoreBlack Kitchen help wanted
Comments (3)If you are after an all black style kitchen I have several recomendations: 1. I recently used Caesarstones "Night sky" as the countertop complemented with Naval Sandblasted "Black Pearl" laminate for the joinery. It looked fantastic and was very sleek. I also incorporated matt black sink and tapwear to keep it clean and minimal and then the surrounding walls were lexicon half. Hopefully we will have photos of it soon to show you but the progress looks fantastic! Comments (38)OMG Siriuskey. You have nailed it!!! This is almost the same as the designer has come up with. I have measured the wall with the 2 seats on the end and it is 5 meters long. Then there is a big gap for an opening coming in from the front of the house which is identical on the opposite wall going in to the back of the house. Hubby thinks that if we were to take out full height Pantry and have our pantry in lower drawers he would be happy with the wall not being nearly completely filled in. You are very clever lady. Thank you. I will show him this as I eagerly await to hear back and get drawings from our designer....See MoreJ
