Hi Zoe, Congratulations to you both on your 1st home purchase. Small designer furniture is what comes to mind. 2 seater sofa, lamp table, floor rug, small coffee table and a TV entertainment unit that fits the common wall at the kitchen end. Light coloured furniture & decor and the clever use of wall lighting will help make the room seem larger. The good thing is you can spend up big on the small amount of things you need to buy. Hi Sophia, You mentioned extending the wall behind the chair (planned renovation)? Would the washstand and mirror fit there? Then the chair would fit nicely in the corner where the washstand is now. Beautiful bed head!

1/ timber bed head and white bedsides ? bed head looks chunky bedsides too slim ? 2/ Stegbar does glass BIR doors to Dulux colours..I'd swap those mirrored doors ..the doors below I had done for a 10 years old girl when we first moved in 3/re-paint room..neutral colour since it is such a small room 4/ Roman blinds ? can get quite nice ones made up. Had these made to match that BIR..an alternative to curtains. Freedom has a good range of curtains if you decide on curtains. Hi there. How lucky are you to be able to redo an area for yourself. The floors are great as that will bring a real modern feel to the house. Make sure you keep it light and bright as you said the home is small and small homes can look very tiny with large furniture and dark colours. The blue sofa will be a striking and very comfy addition to the room. West elm is great with rugs as is pottery barn but west end is a little modern (they are owned by the same place). Try to add white side tables with striking blue decor to make the sofa pop more. If budget allows i would change the table to a gorgeous light wood. Add some amazing cushions to add the homely feel best of luck
