I'm still concerned that the covered alfresco area is located to the NE, it will block much of your winter sunshine from entering your living areas, making your home colder in winter. Personally, I'd try to locate your alfresco o the eastern side of your living areas (& somehow moving the master further SE). However, if you are going to stick with your current alfresco location, I'd recommend you change from a hipped roof alfresco, to a gable roof alfresco. If you make it an opened gable, & have a cathedral ceiling you'll end up with quite a bit more winter sunshine entering your house. Similar to the images below.

@HU-319610855 I’m not saying this to be even the slightest bit contradictory, so please don’t take it that way. We had seperate everything. Doors, walls and divisions everywhere. We pulled it all out and went combo. We‘ve never had an issue with conflicting use, and we love the feeling of extra space and openness it created. I’m sure it all depends on your household. :-)

our bush shack has a single run of cabinets...the kitchen includes a narrow upright stove, narrow fridge and double sink and a tall cabinet for pantry and storage .. if your plans have been approved without an exhaust fan it's possibly not required and we don't have one (but if you do a lot of greasy cooking expect to have to repaint sooner rather than than later although a barbq on the verandah would help with some cooking)...we use a stainless steel single kitchen style sink in the bathroom for hand and clothes washing but you have a bigger bathroom space so my suggestion would be to consider separate bath and laundry area and adding furniture always helps identify opportunities for better window size and placement and you might think about a sliding glass door and at least 1500 tall windows on the verandah side to the verandah and we use our shack as a get away from routine so it's actually quite pleasant to live with minimal equipment and much less cleaning eg all our shack clothes fit easily in bedsides drawers and a rack on the back of the hinged doors so no need for wardrobes

My teenagers seem to come and go at all hours so think about the placement of the main bedroom and whether you want to hear them coming in and leaving. It helps if the bedroom is large enough for a bed, desk and chillout area but they will survive without. You definitely need 2 living areas as you will never agree on what to watch haha! However, mine retreat to their rooms to stream off the laptop mostly. Often they all like to pile in to one room together so if a second living room is in the budget, I would recommend. I would have liked a better bathroom - ours was bath/shower/vanity in 1 room and toilet separate. If I designed, i would have toilet with washbasin, wet room for shower and bath and vanity room with basin, mirror and lots of storage. i would design a large flat undercover area and try to avoid nooks and crannies around the yard (safety at parties). Or design the garage to look like a room, with painted floor and have all your storage in a separate room/shed. We have never had a pool but they all loved the outdoor fire and we had a pool table which was popular. We had a living room connecting on to the outdoor area so we could keep an eye on things without hovering. When they were young, I hated that our bedroom was at the other end of the house to theirs however, now that we like to go to bed early and they are up late, i do appreciate that separation! If it's your dream home, think about the garden design and put some Insta-worthy spots around.
