Comments (6)Do more gardening....if I can find the garden beds!! I want to buy some large terracotta pots...the kind with big wide top openings..and start a plantation of Yukkas and all the wonderful coloured grasses and then flat bush granite rocks...that one can pick up for free around here...put those down all over and start discovering all the amazing groundcovers = no more weeding, no more ,mowing, no more whipper snipping. Started the Nes Year's resolution this morning...all the whipper snipping (wonderful gadget the whipper snipper!), and hedge clipping and weed poisoning done...Ahhh that feels better. Its a start. I thought that if I did this on New Year's Eve it might be a good omen for the rest of the year. Next I'm going to position a great Oriental sculpture outside the front veranda door and paint the door red....just a touch of the Oriental...not heaps....See MoreKnock Knock Knockin' On Houzz's Door - Share your jokes!

Comments (38)Bravo to all these amazing creative minds. I hate wasting stuff that still has life in it. By the way, though I have read that some pallets are treated with a fumigant which is toxic. Generally, make sure pallets are stamped with “HT”, which means they haven’t been exposed to chemicals (at least not in the treating process.) Avoid unmarked pallets or those with “MB” for methyl bromide. Well, if anyone wants some really nice, bargain 2nd hand windows we just pulled out of our 12 y-o house to make way for a sliding door, and you live around Melbourne Australia, please check them out here: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/112070272414?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1586.l2649...See MoreIs your home smaller than the avg. size of homes in your area?
