Exterior render colours

We are getting close to finishing our additions, and I would like to hear your suggestions for render colours our plasterer tells me to choose any colour and the texture coat will be made
The pier and the wall on the left hand side of photo will be clad fed in the stone in the photo, the roof and gutters are evening haze and the fasha is paperbark the garage colour all so needs to be decided but thinking a would look. Thank you for your ideas

Hi Sophia,

I think a dark grey with a hint of mauve would look spectacular and keep the whole home looking cool. What's more, when your garden and trees grow, the greens will complement the colour. Then a touch of red in plantings of kangaroo paw, bottle brush or hibiscus or even a flame tree would make the neighbours applaud your colour choices for sure. Hi, just from trialing paint inside and being sensitive to undertones. It was a few years ago though but I remember Diesku looked very mauve. I recently painted a few rooms in my grandpas house Hogs bristle and it definitely has a slight pink under tone, similar to Antique White. I would suggest getting a Dulux colour expert out to make a suggestion. We have done it & it's worth the money. They will be able to make colour suggestions where the undertone will compliment the woodland grey not clash.

When you have an idea of a colour you like, you can go to the Dulux website and see the details of the colour: light reflectance and the ratio of red to green to blue. Then pick some similar colours - I generally go for something slightly darker and something lighter but the same or similar colour. Alternatively you could go for same tone but slightly different colours - cooler or warmer. Order these 3 or 4 in the large A4 swatches and then use blu tack to put them on the walls you plan to paint. It is amazing how different these will look in different areas and at different times of the day. I number each one on the back and keep a record of my preferred colour in north, south, east & west facing spots in morning & afternoon light. The choice then comes down to which colour I picked most often.

I'd go for warmer colours - i really like the exterior of this in Balmain - could be great for your house too?

Dulux Woodland Grey (dark-ish). Looks great with Evening Haze.

Hi go for Dulux Self Destruct the color goes great with any stone effects.
