Exterior render colours

We are getting close to finishing our additions, and I would like to hear your suggestions for render colours our plasterer tells me to choose any colour and the texture coat will be made
The pier and the wall on the left hand side of photo will be clad fed in the stone in the photo, the roof and gutters are evening haze and the fasha is paperbark the garage colour all so needs to be decided but thinking a would look. Thank you for your ideas

Hi Sophia,

I think a dark grey with a hint of mauve would look spectacular and keep the whole home looking cool. What's more, when your garden and trees grow, the greens will complement the colour. Then a touch of red in plantings of kangaroo paw, bottle brush or hibiscus or even a flame tree would make the neighbours applaud your colour choices for sure. After great thought with the advice given & other researched sites, we have decided to not render our bricks. :) We have begun re painting our pergola from dulux lexicon to taubmans coffee cake - very similar to our window trims. It's a neutral stone/beige colour. We hope to paint our garage doors & gutters monument & probably the facia trims in coffee cake. Fingers crossed for it to look ok. Thanks again.

Fiona, you have a very traditional looking home, with some nice rustic looking brickwork. A rendered box added to the first floor is going to look like it was plonked in with it's contemporary smooth finish contrasting with the traditional, ground floor. Had you considered some other forms of lightweight cladding such as James Hardie's Linea weatherboards, which are much more low-maintenance than traditional weatherboards and work well for first floor extensions to traditional homes? Hi there, we are building a double storey similar in style to pic one. Currently looking for 2 render colours within a preference towards neutrals (earthy greys preferred). Our bricks are blackheath and roof is monument however struggling to find 2 suitable render colours. We have tried Whisper Grey and Shale Grey however Shale looks baby blue outside. Quite like Dune however would love some suggestions. Also like the colours in pic 2 if anyone knows what these might be.

Without seeing the house ( different styles and even different environments suit different colours ) , I'd say you will have to go with a lightish off-white . Personally , with an ironstone roof , I would have gone white or offwhite on the trim , and then a surfmist or similar render ( a bluish tinge ) , but it doesn't play well with paperbark IMO , unless you had say cedar highlights and entry door to divert the look , and add another material and colour .

Hi go for Dulux Self Destruct the color goes great with any stone effects.
