Need help for kitchen pendant lights - do I match dining pendant???
Comments (10)Never been a fan of matching lighting exactly, but instead suggest coordinating the pendants with your current fixture. You don't have to stick to ball-shaped either and can maybe go with a tubular shape. If you're hubby is stuck on chrome, maybe a chrome tube would work... if you want more glass, we also carry a line of pendant lighting and I'm sure you'll find something to go with it or atleast give you an idea....See MoreWhat rug and pendant light would you suggest for the dining room?
Comments (16)Hi Jayrees, I totally agree with what Kat had to offer, I would suggest a non geometric pattern on the rug as the floor is already geometric, a light colour and subtle pattern if you prefer a pattern. The mirror should definitely be moved and I would consider a large light print to compliment the new rug and and drapes. It's a pity that the window screen blocks the view (it's a nice view) but the heavy screen is a necessity these days, I would remove the stickers from the glass to help with the openness. Just noticed that you have an air con in the room so you may be able to remove the screen....See MoreHelp sourcing pendant lights
Comments (38)Hello Northstar 1 thing to remember when choosing your lights .If you want the light down choose a down facing lampholder, dont drop them to low as the GLARE from the globes in your eyes every time they are on is annoying as, every lit pendant you showed had an incandescent globe so if your going to use Fluro globes they will look worse.LED globes with a cleeear glass would be best. Avoid carbon filament even though they look great its a low light output. Depending on your budget take a look at Mondoluce on line they have some amazing glass pendants from Italy and in multiple sizes....See Morehelp needed for pendant lights position
Comments (1)After 20 years lighting sales and domestic consultation the only advice is to make them equal distance from each other and from the edges of the island. You dont mention anything in or on the island like a sink so if its just work space make sure they arent to low that they create distinct spots of light, the idea is to provide balanced light along the whole benchtop. Also the fact they are such a solid construction they will provide a definite "zoning" effect, you could possibly raise the middle 1 to give a variation to the theme but after all its your home do what YOU want...See MoreBloom Collections
