Hi, interestingly I have been grappling with this issue recently! For a contemporary design I have firmly decided that dark bronze or black frames suit much better as they are visually recessive and give the optical illusion of larger glazing and help create an indoor-outdoor connection. White frames tend to focus your eyes on the frames/window rather than the space and form, however you can get these to work if you use very slender frames (which are more expensive) or if you are purposefully using traditional design cues. I know this doesn't help as you already have the DA, so if you can go with the silver pearl that is a good option, and perhaps use the words "dark beige" to darken the render!

I would do the gates in aluminium powder coated slats, not Colorbond. Not sure which state you are in, but Stratco have a good range. Are you sure the gutters and fascia are the same colour as the Colorbond roof?, it may be a trick with the sun but the fascia and gutters look a lot darker. They look the same as the front door. You could copy that colour for your blue rendered pillars and wall. Or, don’t have a different colour at all, do the entire home in the same colour. A crisp white with the current trim colours, new powder coated gates in the same dark colour, and letterbox in the same colour, and lots and lots of beautiful plants. While you are waiting for the council about the tree, spend some time making a square or circle around the tree, dig out the lawn, and mulch it’s base. The council will probably only water it and cut it back when required, they probably won’t look after it on a regular basis.

Dulux terrace white has a grey undertone, so should blend in well with the slate grey roof and carport roof. I would look at painting the front door slate grey to match other trims.
