Framed corrugated iron shutters left natural would be my preference, colour might be a bit 'try hard' and natural will sit in the environment more easily. Could even make barn doors with it if you prefer that look. The actual barn door fittings are the pricey bits I believe. You don't have much wind going by photo's, all trees seem to be growing upright so a regular build will be fine.

For cold weather the wind chill factor is what really makes it uncomfortable - what about good quality café roller blinds - they'll keep the view, stop the wind and let your outdoor heaters do their jobs.

Hi, as a first option we suggest to lay a lovely tiled floor (there is quite a lot of bricks in your entrance) and paint the door and the soffit+fascia in a bold colour. Whilst there is no doubt demolishing the glass bricks will increase the amount of light, you could also flow with the glass bricks and for a low cost install a small spot light inside the porch to light up the back of the glass brick to great evening effect. Other options to consider would be a skylight to the porch roof (there are many styles) and to the extreme replacing the entry door and glass bricks.
