Suggestions to change it around..

Would it better if I move the fridge from pantry and move it to where the appliances shelves are ??

Moving the sink to the left off centre on the island will give you more useable bench space for prep work. You just need to turn the fridge so it faces into the kitchen and build pantry around it as is more convenient to access without needing everyone to walk through the kitchen into the pantry. Rather than an appliance cupboard at the end of the bench put them in the pantry and use that space for coffee/tea making or if you are a baker zone that area for baking utensils etc. It looks like you have room for a small prep sink in the pantry which would mean you only need a large single undermount sink and on the island = more bench space. Most of your prep and serving will be done on the island facing into the room. As a chef I am sure you already know how to zone areas in the kitchen so that you can work efficiently especially if there is more that one of you cooking - just apply the same principles. Good luck and you are on the right track, I am envious of your pantry.

this one is for guests too and family use..it's really awkward when guests are talking and one of them go as can hear everything and that's how far mine is from the dining table

I had to consider alot in mind as I have someone whose in a wheelchair as well as outdoor alfresco which will be made into bbq area

just wondering since you don't have guests that often ..how about making that ensuite 2 ways? that way you can do without the second WC ?

just had a look at both of your plans

I would make that guest ensuite a bit bigger so that you can enter into it from the hallway.

that would solve your problem ..

then move your pantry along a little make it longer..more narrower as you don't need a big one with no fridge in there

that way the wall of the pantry can shield that ensuite as well

the bottom guest room is for a member whose in a wheelchair so I can't make that two way bathroom.

This is getting so complicated.

Any other way I can do this changes would love to hear them.

Bit of background update.its my first time building a house from a scratch so some of my questions might sound naive as well sorry..

big reader : insulation sounds a good idea never heard about double wall but will ask the builders about it.

The water point in the butlers pantry is for the fridge as my current fridge is double door but with the water dispenser hence the water point.

Ann you mentioned that your current layout is similar to my plan.. do you find it cohesive and works well with your current kitchen and everything.

I haven't built a house before and too young to have knowledge of all this and appreciate every Houzzers help.

bigreader..with regard to noise I've been researching but since ours is already built ..to do it retrospectively it's a pain..we have privacy issues with our bedroom next to our daughter's.

you'd need 2 plaster sheets (noise reduction kind) together and the inner plaster sheet not nailed to the studs but hung on metal clips/rails so the noise doesn't travel as well as insulation in the walls..

Firstly, congratulations on building your new home. It is a very exciting, but stressful time as I am sure you know.

In regards to your plan(s) there are a few things that you may want to consider, particularly as you have said you are designing for wheelchair access.

1. All access ways need to be a minimum of 1000mm clear and doorways 900mm.
2. The ensuite bathroom appears to be too narrow for a disabled accessible bathroom. If you have engaged an architect/ building designer ask them to check it in regards to AS1428.1 and the BCA/NCC. You will also need to include grab-rails and specialised toilets if you truly wish to make it accessible.
3. If you wish to move the ensuite/powder room for privacy issues, you may consider placing them between the study and the guest bedroom. This will mean the bedroom is used as a buffer.
4. In a residential kitchen, it is common to design the kitchen based off the "triangle principle"; that is, the refrigerator, oven and sink form the apexes of the triangle. The closer they are together the more efficiently the kitchen will work. Try to avoid any obtuse angles in the triangle too. Whilst I know in a commercial kitchen it is common to have the refrigerator separate to the food preparation area, it may be easier for the household as a whole if the refrigerator is moved to where it can be accessible at all times, but not in the way or block access ways.
   If you decide to keep the refrigerator in the butler's pantry (and this is totally fine and your decision to make) I would consider changing its location so as to maximise shelf/bench space and ease of access as you have a dead space next to the refrigerator at the moment. Also, do you really need doors on the shelving within the butler's pantry?
