Definitely ^. But it's gorgeous!!! I'd preserve it for good. It'd be a tragedy if it was knocked - and probably replaced with a flat pack melamine number!
Absolutely. I don't see the point of renovating just for the sake of it. It goes with the era of the house. I might not say that about a 50s kitchen though.
