Lava stone bench is fantastic! You have great taste so I am sure you will make it all work. As with any room, maybe just consider which element you want to be the 'hero' ie. do you want people to notice the benchtop first, the rug? Then play up that feature and blend the rest into the background more. If you have too much going on colour or pattern-wise the different elements of the room will compete with each other and the room won't have it's focus. Love love your bar chairs as well!!! :-)

Looks good. Before I read through discussion, I had these thoughts. You could look at painting on the front of the wall only, not in the porch/entranceway area underneath, double strength of main colour. So you could as an option get a test pot of Dulux double Self Destruct or even triple. I would not use Monument, or similar to the roof color as it will disappear into the roof. I also think the front fence would look better painted a stronger colour from your existing but as it seems it has just been painted perhaps you could do that, when and if you liked, to cut down expense. On the Dulux website they also give you colours that look good with Self Destruct. (Picture below). Another option is look towards going bold like a strong blue or blue green. Something like in the picture. That's my feature wall, Resene Billabong. ...or a dirty purple or a blood red. It's starting to get really personal of what your tastes are. Perhaps you could Half or Quarter the main house colour in the entranceway so it still flows but gives you more light. Exciting stuff!

We chose brushed nickel for all the taps/towel rails/etc in our ensuite renovation and I love it. I had the same thought as others that some timber would add warmth. We had one made in hoop-pine ply. It wasn't expensive to go direct to a cabinet-maker - but we didn't really have a choice as the vanity was going into an existing niche and anything other than full width of the niche would have looked wrong. Don't think cheap and nasty with hoop pine ply. It's beautiful and it's all in the finishing detail. When we had our kitchen done the kitchen people told me it would be considerably cheaper to have 2-pac kitchen cabinetry.

I like the new fence and those basalt rocks . Like the others , I'd be interested in the new pics -- if it was as per the first pic , I'd go monument on all the trims and the garage door , and the right hand side fence , but with the new fence , that may look too dark and overdone . I still feel it needs something Wow though -- with the dark 'new' fence and my suggoestion of the other RHS one also Monument , maybe a bright Lipstick Red for the garage door , or an amazing ( probably basalt/bluestone based ) letterbox ? Maybe just your street numbers 80cm tall painted that bright red , and attached to the new fence ? It doesn't look like you'll have room to do gardens or big colourful or subtle pots , but without pics , thats just surmising .
