Hi Angela. If your existing kitchen works for you, then replacing your benchtop and splashback will definitely work, as well as save you money. Whilst the Caesarstone's Linen is nice, I would recommend Smartstone Amara - it has a marble look, and is one of the more reasonably priced marble-look engineered stones. I have seen it installed and it looks fantastic. With the money saved, I recommend that you invest in some really beautiful tiles for the splashback (even if they are subway style, get really nice ones), some gorgeous new handles, as well as change the colour of your blinds to match as closely as possible the window architraves. A nice new sink and tap (think carefully about undermounted) will also help. Finally, if you can match your existing fronts exactly, then it may also be a good time to change the dishwasher to a fully integrated model. You could also replace the freestanding canopy, etc., as Design Fusion recommends, but that will cost you a quite bit more (it will require not only the new cabinet, but also redoing part of the bulkhead and cornice work), and you may have an issue with the new fronts matching the existing. Hi 1991_kid, though this image may be a render, the stone tops do represent an actual material. You may like to look at the Natural Stone type called Quartzite. Quartzite comes in smaller slab sized that Granite and Man Made Quartz Reconstituted stone slabs and it is very hard (unlike marble) and comes in a variety of different colours. Quartzite stone slabs do come in various types of Grey and does come in a type that has a formation which looks similar to your image. Perhaps something like the Atlantic Stone Quartzite or the Taj Mahal Quartzite or the Grey Cristallo Extra Quartzite. Hope this is of help, Malcolm

Hi, Ali, I eventually went ahead and had the stone overlay on my kitchen benches and splashback. I am absolutely delighted with the result, and am so pleased I had it done. It has given a completely refurbished look to the kitchen; there was no collateral damage to the cupboards; no having to take the old tiles down from the existing splashback; I didn't change my cooktop or sink (just had the same ones put back in) and I couldn't be happier. The only benchtop which was completely replaced was the long one at the front. It was widened to make a breakfast bar. My previous benchtops were a dark mottled laminate and the splashback was cream subway tiles with a frieze. Very dated. I've attached a before and after photo (the timber venetians at the window have since been replaced with a white holland blind, which looks so much better.
