Have done a kitchen makeover and can’t decide if this breakfast bar would look ok with pendant lighting or stick to down-lights but move them? It’s an odd shape so feel unsure. Thanks!
Hi Holly, have you thought of modular track lighting, I think it would look fabulous above your bench, have a look at the Australian company LED world , they have a video showing you what you can achieve ledworld.com.au
If you have pendant lights, I would put three over the angled part of your bench top. A smaller pendant style. Also, Make sure the down lights are in the correct places to avoid shadowing when doing tasks. And, the only thing I’m noticing is the yellow air con vent. A shame to have a new kitchen space and old discoloured vents. We recently replaced all the vent unit in our home after painting entire home. You can wash the inserts but the whole vent gets discoloured and the only way to make your new kitchen renovation perfect, is to replace the entire vent. I just contacted the local air con specialist, and they did it for me.
Julie I had not considered the track lighting actually, I’ll explore it. We do already have some above our dining area, though that is in white. I like the modular idea too as we have been struggling to know what to do with our down lights. Very tricky to line them all up! Thanks!
Dreamer, I think smaller ones might look ok but we are having issues lining up the down lights already. They are not in a particular pattern. May have to place them differently. I’ve contacted an aircon person to quote on the vents as they are looking very yellow now. Thanks for the suggestions ☺️
