i'm thinking white subways tiles (floor to ceiling), changed to charcoal in the shower recess, the shower curtain will go and be replaced with a shower screen (clear glass) Also, i'd like to knock out a few rows of bricks inside the shower wall to act as a shelf rather than a shower caddy (that rusts and looks horrible) Changing my toilet to a pure white china toilet and cistern and also changing my vanity? What colour vanity should i go for? floor tiles? and also, what type of mirror is in right now?

I have one piece of advice - "be utterly ruthless and CULL!" - we were the same before we did our bathroom reno - now we've got more storage than we need but the goal is to keep the room clutter free - we've done this by having: only one bottle each of shampoo/conditioner/bodywash/handwash as back-up for the ones currently in the shower/hand basin - all of it gender neutral. only one bottle of each of the following in the shower at any one time: shampoo, conditioner, bodywash, handwash. The only thing I buy in bulk is toilet paper and that gets stored in the vanity's under cupboards. We don't use bars/cakes of soap - firstly because they seem to leave more soap residue on the glass (hey, I'm all for making MY cleaning routine quicker - which is also why the shower gets squeegeed down after each use - cuts the amount of cleaning by at least half in the shower - imagine not spending time digging out soap that's blocking the hole in the soap container) and secondly because soap in small slithers or soft and soggy, or so hard they don't soap up drive me nuts. I used to love loofah's until I discovered how much bacteria they can harbour and how difficult it is to clean, dry and store them - now I use the gloves that are synthetic, they dry really quickly, are easier to store than loofahs and I can pop them in a delicates bag and throw the bag it in the wash with the towels on a hot cycle each week keeping the "ick" factor at bay. Any surplus prescription medication (like pain killers etc) that we're no longer requiring gets dropped into the pharmacy for disposal as soon as we're done, otherwise it's only kept until we've used it all or it expires Cosmetics are all in one drawer/one area of the cabinet and brushes, eyeliners, lip pencils (I do like a little make up) are in separate caddies in the overhead cabinet. Depends a bit on the style of bathroom. Do you have pics so far? Options could be a stool to act as a small table, glass bathroom shelf added to wall, bath caddy (tray supported by bath sides)... We will have a tiled niche in arms reach of our tub.

If you want colour you could add pictures and art but remember it is a wet area and they could get damp.... painting the top areas of ur walls that dont have tiles could be an option to bring more colour into the room but remember it will make the room close in unless u use a very light colour. White or light walls tend to make rooms look bigger.
