I have installed pebble tiles in several showersPros - very elegant, gives a sense of space as pebbles are different so no long defining linesCons - difficult to clean, must determine at outset if you want the stones deep in grout (you see lots more grout but the surface is smoother) or not so deep (you see less grout, but the surface is bumpier).Some people recommend epoxy grout, I don't for the simple reason it is much harder to get the grouting even with pebbles than tiles so more time needs to be taken.

Hi Naomi, generally white gloss 300x600 (rectified) wall tiles are around $25-$30/m2 Floor tiles can vary a lot. 300x300's & 300x600's are very popular but I would recommend a floor tile of at least $40/m2 There is a misconception that lighter means it will feel bigger. Whereas, simpler will feel bigger. For the floor tiles, keep to natural tones (timber, slate type colours). The only colours I wouldn't go is white (or close to white, need contrast from walls) - and I wouldn't use a colour that replicates your vanity cupboards. A slate floor against a white wall can really provide a "non-offensive POP!" Good luck ! Doug. Perth W.A.

Hi Sharella, I have specified these very tiles a number of times for first home buyer clients. I like the fact that you are putting the darker tile to the floor as I think it grounds the space better. You've also done the right thing by matching your grout to the tiles. Obviously the top picture uses a gloss porcelain tile to the floor, but this can be a slip hazard when wet. I think, with consideration to your budget, that you have chosen well.
