The kitchen has been cleverly designed to maximise the space. The tall fridge/freezer unit has been dropped to fit the ceiling height and the corner unit houses a pull-out larder cupboard. Oak worktops and live edge solid oak shelving add warmth. The Ercol dining chairs are vintage, with new cushions upholstered in Christopher Farr cloth.

Zoë Noble Photography A labour of love that took over a year to complete, the evolution of this space represents my personal style whilst respecting rental restrictions. With an emphasis on the significance of individual objects and some minimalist restraint, the multifunctional living space utilises a high/low mix of furnishings. The kitchen features Ikea cupboards and custom shelving. A farmhouse sink, oak worktop and vintage milk pails are a gentle nod towards my country roots.

This cosy cottage, with its low ceilings and uneven walls, needed a bright, functional kitchen that would suit a young family. The bespoke Quebec Yellow timber cabinets, painted in Farrow & Ball Joah’s White, quite literally fit the bill, whilst the English Oak work tops and hand forged iron handles add warmth and character. The opposing joinery and staircase create a strong relationship at both sides of the living space. The continuous joinery seamlessly morphs from kitchen to a seat for dining, and finally to form the media unit within the living area. The stair and the joinery are separated by a strong vertically tiled column. Our bespoke staircase was designed meticulously with the joiner and steelwork fabricator. The wrapping Beech Treads and risers and expressed with a shadow gap above the simple plaster finish. This delightful view from the kitchen looks onto the front courtyard garden with the focus on the Gleditsia tree. It transforms an exposed corner of central London into an oasis of calm. The kitchen is simple in shiny white units with dark timber floor and worktop.
