Small Kitchen with Recessed-panel Cabinets and with Island Design Ideas

The kitchen, located in the lower ground floor, was updated with bespoke cabinetry fitted around the chimney breast with a range cooker within the existing fireplace.

This kitchen was designed to be hidden away. Our clients can hold drinks parties and soirees without their kitchen being on show. A rolling library ladder makes full use of the 4metre ceiling height with extra storage. We took a mould of the original coving so the new cabinets look like they have always been part of the original room

Victorian beaded front frame met with in-frame classic shaker style furniture. Hand painted in Farrow & Ball Railings. Doors feature a shallow recessed front panel. Both drawers and doors feature Satin Brass hardware. There is a large pantry cupboard which shows off the solid pine carcasses which have had a dark varnish applied for a more luxurious look. There is a central island which has space to seat 3 people. A Quooker boiling water tap is a great addition to the functionality of the kitchen. In a federation-style brick home by the beach, dark wood and walls made the kitchen + dining space dark and pokey. A renovation saw walls removed, spaces opened up and a dated kitchen re-vamped. A feature curved stone effect on the island was strip-lit for ambient night-time dining, and a secret door installed for extra storage. New floors, custom cabinetry, new furniture, lighting and a feature fireplace rejuvenated with kit-kat tiles created an entirely different, more functional and more stylish space.
