A large country garden (2.5 acres) was given a fantastic makeover including a large patio garden incorporating difficult levels in an exposed situation. The clients are delighted!

Durch die organische Formgebung verbindet der Garten das über 300 Jahre alte Landhaus mit der angrenzenden Obst- und Waldfläche. Die ganzjährige Grundstruktur bilden die Formschnittgehölze aus Eibe. Um nicht das alte Klischee des Bauerngartens zu bedienen, ist die Bepflanzung deutlich Gräser betont angelegt worden. Diese brechen die Starrheit der Eibenkugeln auf und bringen eine interessante ins Beet.

Sur ce projet en terrain vallonné, notre intervention a consisté à structurer l’espace tout en respectant la lecture naturelle du site. ✔️ Création de restanques en pierre sèche pour stabiliser la pente et dessiner les volumes ✔️ Réalisation d’un cheminement en pierre naturelle pour guider la circulation en douceur ✔️ Intégration d’un point de pause, discret et fonctionnel, offrant une vue dégagée sur le paysage ✔️ Conservation et valorisation des sujets existants, dont cet amandier en fleurs qui devient un élément central du décor L’objectif : transformer une pente brute en un parcours paysager harmonieux, fonctionnel et durable, sans dénaturer l’identité du lieu. Un aménagement qui conjugue technique, esthétisme et respect du relief naturel.

Großer Garten am Waldrand. Ein bestehender Gartenteil wurde 2009 neu geplant und umgestaltet. Bestehende Elemente insbesondere Bhudda und Quellstein wurden in einer Kombination aus Romantik und naturnaher Gartengestaltung verwendet. Eine natürlich anmutende Gestaltung wurde hier geplant und umgesetzt.

A Wildlife pond with attached bog garden and planting, created by us in September 2023 This was built on a sloping lawn with the far side below lawn height and the near side above lawn height This was constructed as two pits sharing a liner and underlay, with the dividing wall 25mm below water level giving a shallow covering of water to the bog garden when full The bog garden area is 900mm deep and filled with 10mm rounded pea shingle, then water, the plants need no soil, taking their nutrients from the water. The pond area has 3 ranks of planting shelves, all wide, the maximum depth is 1.2m Once filled there is no indication that this isn't a single natural pond, the banks are rounded shingle, the bottom has a layer of this also, the surrounding banks are sown with wildflower meadow seed, which hadn't germinated at the time the picture was taken The whole area was dressed with rocks, long branches and lumps of tree trunk, some of which, retain the shingle on the top planting shelf The pond is planted carefully to give balance and a natural look, thought is given to attracting wildlife of all kinds, however we couldn't have expected the local deer to be drinking from it each day. Hangbefestigung aus Grauwackeblöcken, die in Trockenmauern aus gleichem Material übergehen. Lockere Bepflanzung der Zwischenräume mit Stauden. Blöcke können als Sitzsteine genutzt werden. Terrasse aus Travertinplatten mit Zierkiesel ausgezwickelt. Folienteich mit Quellstein.
