Inspiration for a small midcentury u-shaped kitchen pantry in Sydney with a double-bowl sink, flat-panel cabinets, white cabinets, quartz benchtops, grey splashback, stone slab splashback, black appliances, light hardwood floors, with island, brown floor and grey benchtop.

For a small kitchen there is an enormous amount of storage space and benchspace. I'm so pleased with the end result of this kitchen. There were a few challenges along the way as it is a solid brick ground floor appartment, so there were exposed pipes behind the old cabinets to contend with. The walls were also badly out of square. As usual our fitters met the challenge and overcame the difficulties with a great end result! The cabinets are finished in Polytec Classic White Sheen with the feature overheads in Polytec Ravine Natural Oak. Benchtops are Caesarstone Atlantic Salt 20mm. The floating shelves are in Polytec Ravine Natural Oak. White subway tiles with a medium grey grout look great. The tiles were originally going to go on the window ledge but at the last minute the client requested a timber sill which finishes it off perfectly. Strip lighting under the overheads gives a realy nice touch. Now the painters get to finish it off!

Having an integrated fridge and taking the cabinets to the ceiling made the area see spacious also following the rake of the ceiling made the space feel much larger than sit really was. the microwave is concealed under the island bench top which had drawers and storage on the end.

This cuty was a delight to design. Wonderful clients with great taste. A compact kitchen, very functional and timeless. The Oak timber feature repeats the dining furniture. The lift ups are practical and emphasizes the horizontal lines. The Porcelain (Dekton) benchtop in Orix adds texture.
