Balmain House
The owners of this façade-perfect Federation home in Balmain wanted a serious upgrade. With stunning harbour views and a generous layout, the home was a keeper but needed significant improvements.
An unusable lower third level needed redesign, the addition of a guest bedroom and ensuite to take it from a 4 to a 5 bedroom home, a completely new kitchen in a more sensible area of the home and a contemporary update of the interiors whilst maintaining the home's character.
The dark and gloomy lower level became a stunning self contained area, with guest bedroom, ensuite, laundry, kitchenette and large living room, all looking out over the limestone poolside terrace to the stunning mosaic pool with BBQ & cabana. The kitchen became streamlined and modernised with a Calcatta Marble bench slab and Corian benchtops.
