KITCHEN
Our project began with the removal of a dividing wall between the kitchen and living areas, instantly opening up the space and fostering a more cohesive and inviting environment. Relocating the kitchen to the opposite side of the main living area proved to be a game-changer, allowing us to utilise the space more efficiently and design a larger, more functional kitchen that could accommodate the needs of a bustling household.

To establish an aura of light, brightness, and a fresh feel, we incorporated carefully selected accents of timber, infusing the space with a welcoming touch of natural warmth. To tie these elements together seamlessly, we introduced feature pendants, which not only illuminated the space but also served as eye-catching design focal points, enhancing the overall aesthetic appeal. The introduction of a generously sized communal island bench served as the heart of the room, providing a space for socialising, cooking, and bonding.

Our overarching goal was to curate a living space that harmoniously integrated practicality with an inviting and contemporary design ethos, ensuring that the area served as a hub for both daily living and social gatherings.

BATHROOM
The Hatch Renovations project in Doubleview offers an ideal case study in how we marry creativity, functionality, and budget-friendly design to deliver outstanding results. Our brief was to renovate a bathroom with limited space, infusing it with a coastal scheme enriched with pops of colour, while also working within a modest budget.

The client’s vision was a bathroom that felt both inviting and expansive, despite the constraints of the space. Our solution involved maximising the available area and cleverly using features to create the illusion of more room. The design strategy was guided by principles of spatial intelligence. We made careful decisions about the placement and scale of each element, from the bathroom fixtures to the mirror placement, all designed to enhance the perception of a larger space.

Central to the design was a coastal scheme, mirroring the serene ambience of a beachside retreat. The choice of calming hues and natural textures, paired with lively pops of colour, set the tone for a soothing yet energising atmosphere. The selection of fixtures and accessories in the bathroom reflected this theme, conjuring up a refreshing sense of being near the ocean.

A critical aspect of this project was working within a tight budget. We achieved this by maintaining the existing layout, thus minimising the costs associated with major structural changes. Instead, we focused on the finishes–a combination of different textures and materials was used to add visual interest and variety. The mix of finishes—from the shiny gloss of the tiles to the matte surfaces of the fixtures—provided depth and complexity to the overall design.

The Doubleview bathroom renovation is a clear illustration of how Hatch Renovations works with each client’s unique constraints and desires. By maximising space, introducing a delightful coastal scheme, and creatively working with different finishes within a budget-friendly framework, we transformed a simple bathroom into a personal seaside oasis. Through a clever design approach and a strong commitment to client satisfaction, we ensure that each renovation project is not just about upgrading a space, but enhancing a lifestyle.

LAUNDRY
This laundry design showcases a clean and modern aesthetic with a focus on simplicity and functionality. The color palette is light and neutral, featuring crisp white cabinetry, a subtle wood-look benchtop, and brushed nickel fixtures that enhance the overall understated elegance. The addition of vertical white tiles on the splashback introduces texture and dimension while maintaining the minimalist vibe.

The style leans towards Scandinavian-inspired modern design, emphasizing practicality, light-filled spaces, and soft, natural tones. The timber-look benchtop adds warmth and a touch of nature to the otherwise streamlined and contemporary setting.

The overall presentation is both stylish and practical. The inclusion of overhead cabinetry maximizes storage without overwhelming the space, while the hanging rod provides a convenient solution for air-drying clothes. The placement of the sink, washer, and cabinetry ensures an efficient workflow, making daily chores seamless and organized.

This laundry’s thoughtful design balances form and function, creating a space that is visually appealing, practical, and effortlessly chic.
