Contemporary/Character
It was agreed to design and build the new home with the same size, style and character to pay special homage to the original home while injecting an interesting blend of contemporary design elements.
The upper floor of the home is a carbon copy of the original home both externally and internally. It has 3 bedrooms, with 2 bathrooms, a small living area at the top of the stairs with a wrap around veranda and a bull nose roof.
The design of the lower floor and carport is industrial in style with floor to ceiling windows and doors to take advantage of natural light and ventilation. Polished concrete was used for the floor with steel portal “I” beams for the ceiling and wall supports. Exposed brick was used throughout for warmth and to complete the industrial style of the design
