East Fremantle Large Backyard
Stunning home in East Fremantle with sweeping views of the Swan River and further to the Perth city skyline.
Challenging project given the limited access to the large, over-run backyard...permission was granted by the lovely neighbours to use their property to bring in over 35m3 of new soils, mulch, trees etc.
The concept was to create visual interest when looking down from the second story onto the garden. We achieved this by a series of curving Corten steel retaining (to mimic the river shape), all centred around a majestic and extremely old gum tree.
Matured Magnolia, Crepe Myrtle, Evergreen Ash, Citrus and Frangipani trees were planted, with a mix of Australian natives and more tropical plants for the beds.
Extensive garden lighting has been used to full effect offering a beautiful setting to enjoy day and night.
