Hopetoun House
A renovated 1950's house - The project utilises a patchwork of materials and finishes tied together by a warm, autumnal colour palette. The chosen materials are tactile and inviting, encompassing an array of finishes which are both rough and smooth, contemporary and vintage. Unexpected touches such as leather and distressed timber lend a lived-in feel to the clean contemporary house, while graphic wallpapers and textural tiling add a glamourous touch. The metal blade wall through the centre of the living space provides both a practical function of separating spaces and a beautiful feature which throws light deep into the plan.
