I like everything. The crystals in the lights. The contrast between the dark cabinets and the white counter tops (with waterfall counters) and dining table. I even like the pop of yellow in the paintings.

I REALLY like this kitchen. I think the key to achieving the look I want in our kitchen will be to paint or tile the unoccupied wall space in white or some other light color -- to contrast with the dark cabinets. Also, what makes this kitchen special compared to the next two photos is the veins in the counter top, it creates more complexity.

This kitchen works for me because, although the island is a dark color, the other counter top is white and also there are both white and black cabinet doors. So, if we have a dark counter top for the island, I definitely would not want the other counter to be dark. Also, no dark color on the walls either.
