Kitchen
The kitchen will be open to the living room with a nook off the side for a table. The nook will have a walk out door to the yard, and windows for a lot of light. Beams and wood tongue and groove (baton board?) ceiling, beam down the wall to show a divide from the kitchen to living room, beam over head. Upper cabinets with doors with glass, and some open shelving. Hood over stove. Glass top electric stove. Farm sink, windows above sink if possible. A dishwasher near the sink. Wood counter tops. Wood flooring. Flat front cabinets, no grooves. The island has seating on one side and is in the middle of the kitchen and living room. The pantry will be off the kitchen and be accessible by a sliding barn door, exposed hardware (sliders?) at the top. A pull out drawer for recycling and garbage cans. What are the alternatives to a lazy susan? Are soft close drawers very expensive?
