About Us

As the name implies, Sydney Decking Company are deck construction specialists. We will construct the deck using your choice of materials, including treated pine, hardwood and composites. We can build using either steel or timber substructure and are the NSW Preferred installers for Duralife composite decking products. We also construct screens, balustrades and pergolas.

John Gill and Sydney Decking installed a fabulous exterior hardwood deck, as well as replacing a softwood deck and some other maintenance issues. Their work was fantastic, nothing was too much trouble and the attention to detail to get the aesthetics right was great. No surprises with costs, everything was discussed and agreed in advance. A highly recommended outfit.

Highly refer John on. Good skills and experience - He thought about the job and made good suggestions so that our project outcomes are better than we would otherwise have had. Good Timing - He kept us in the loop, and also came back to finish things as he said he would. His team and he worked very hard - I was surprised at how much goes into a project like this.

Commented: Low Level DevkingHello Polly, On a low level deck we usually remove all the grass and enough dirt to allow for the substructure etc. We usually add a layer of weed matting to stop future growth, then 50mm of aggregate...
