I lead a team of multi-disciplinary dedicated individuals who share my passion for architecture and building artisanship. The practice is a working example of my personal philosophy – design excellence achieved through a deep understanding of the craft of building. We are one of a handful of Architectural firms in Australia with the experience and expertise to perform an unprecedented service as both Architect and Builder with a strong focus on sustainable design, construction and project delivery systems. We mentor students, graduates and Architects pursuing the Architect as Builder practice model and all of our construction sites consist of team members with architectural qualifications.
In an era where the role of the Architect is being increasingly marginalised and our skills siloed, my practice maintains complete control and unfettered responsibility for every aspect of our projects from concept to completion. The objective of our model is to achieve the following outcomes:
•Respect the craft of tradespeople, their expertise and their time.
•Facilitate a profitable project for every party through a structured and efficient construction management system which mitigates compromise to the architectural intent.
•Empower the Architect and sub-contractors to produce more cost effective, higher quality, faster delivered projects.
•Unify Strategy and Practice.
•Be flexible throughout every phase of a project including the construction phase.
•Generate recursive knowledge that feeds back into both teams, industries and professions.
