Completed our project late last year and for a granny flat their finishes are amazing. Would really recommend this company for a professional service and great finish worthy of houzz.

Found rescon on houzz, they look to have some great work and picked them for my granny flat, haven't finished yet but they have been great so far and would recommend.

Happy with the finished product, the granny flat looks great and Richard was a real plus! I chose to go with brick finish and it looks just like my home. Ramon was really helpful making sure everything was right.

Will never use them again, 7 months to finish a granny flat with faults that they did not rectify and I had to out of my own pocket, both parties agreed to have the builders enter through the garage which had plenty of space and on the day of the build they decide to enter through the side of the house causing damage to front side and back yard which I then had to hire a landscaping company to fix it at an extra $11,000 because in their contract it states that it's not their fault it anything outside of the granny flat is damaged, never responds to phone call/emails, they claim if the build takes longer than 3months for every additional week over that period they will refund you $150 never saw one cent. So many more things they stuffed up to list, worst company ever do yourself a favour and read all the reviews on other domains before you even think about going with them.

Comment from RESCON Builders:
Hi Elias, as previously noted the whole team is very sorry you feel this way.
We are glad however that the issues do not relate to the quality of the build itself and hope over time these issues fade from memory and you can enjoy your newly built Granny Flat.
Regarding the damaged lawns around the build; it is an unavoidable consequence of construction that material storage areas are required and heavy machinery such as excavators are brought to site to undertake the work.
With respect to the delays we had no option other than to stop works after not receiving any progress payment from yourself on completion of the slab pour and framework erection. We understand you had difficulties understanding your banks loan application papers and given this and your impending wedding we had in good faith waived all penalty interests to these delays but it meant the build took longer than we would have otherwise liked.

I had Rescon build me a granny flat recently and while we had some issues during the build they were resolved and explained in a professional way. The granny flat itself looks good and many friends and relatives comment on the finished build.

Dealing with the owner, Tim, at the beginning of the project was fantastic. Things went down hill from there. They walked off site when I questioned the slab height (yes, my granny flat still has water coming up to the front step). After much complaining, they fixed the water spraying out of the shower. They are now refusing to relocate the smoke alarm which goes off every time the stove is used. Overall, the quality of construction was very good, but their willingness to make things right was underwhelming. I can not recommend Rescon.

Rescon took 7 months to complete my Granny Flat after starting construction and that to after continuous follow ups. Total process took more than 1 year.
Rescon declared practical completion much before completing the work and stated counting warranty period of 3 months while actual completion was achieved 1 month later. Practically I got less than 2 months to identify defects. They also demanded final payment at the self-declared practical completing date. Occupancy Certificate process started after final payment only which might take 6 weeks in case of Rescon.
I was not allowed to communicate with the site supervisor. All communication was routed through admin people who had limited technical knowledge.
The most efficient department of Recon in my understanding is Accounts which is very prompt in sending invoices for the work completed or not completed (in some cases).
Roof leakage has not been fixed even after 5 month of continuous complaining.

I am very disappointed with the service from this company. They don't provide a fast service, and certainly don't inform us when they just show up unexpectantly on the day. The project is nearly complete, except for the hot water which is still waiting to be installed for over two months now. During this time we have heard nothing from RESCON builders and have even placed our furniture inside as we have nowhere else to store it. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone as they don't deliver what they promise and how they advertise themselves to be.

Do not recommend this builder. Left many things uncompleted. Never responds to emails. Very bad management in terms of building and accounts.

Rescon handled our prestige extension project professionally and provided us with guidance and support throughout the process. I found them a pleasure to deal with and Tim the director is very knowledgable and pleasant - certainly a big difference to previous builders we have dealt with.
Rescon's experience spotted some amateur mistakes in our design ideas and were forthcoming in providing us with practical solutions which worked out much better in the end.

Rescon built a granny flat for us. Dealing with Tim was really good. I felt very comfortable explaining what we wanted and he was very flexible. Being a woman, i find some builders are patronistic and don't take you seriously. Tim is not like that at all.
The sign up process was very fair and he answered all our questions. The build process was very quickly started and we were very impressed as the slab was poured around Christmas/New Year...which we did not expect at all.
The quality of the work was good and the flat has been nicely finished. My main criticism is that the build took longer than expected as it was not handed over till the 1st of June. The last part of the process took longer than I expected to get small things finished so that we could lease the flat.
We were overseas for the last part and felt a bit frustrated...but perhaps it was because we were overseas that it took longer than it would if we were still home. In the end, Tim has done all we asked and i am now just waiting for someone to have a good final look to tell me if it is all OK.
He also let us know when council restrictions forced us to alter plans and although this cost us more than planned, he always tried to find the most cost effective way to meet the requirements.
I would build with Tim again...but i would insist on things moving along
in the middle of the process. His price was very fair for the quality of the inclusions and he gave us lots of choice.

I am extremely happy with the granny flat completed by Rescon Builders. Tim has shown to be an expert and certainly knows his job well. The entire construction process has been hassle free and the house was delivered on time with the complete occupancy papers from the council.
Rescon Builders included a high standard of inclusions at a reasonable price in their contract and Tim's professional approach and passion to this project earned him the contract. His building licenses and certifications also checked out and it gave me a piece of mind that I was dealing with a qualified person.
The only thing that I ever had to do was to check the work progress and approve the draw down payments. I have also had a time when my architect had made an error of the entry door size on the plan and Tim adjusted the door size on his own without creating a fuss or passing the extra cost to me as a variation.
I am completely satisfied as a customer and have already booked to build with Rescon Builders again.
