“The brief for Renuka, was to design a fully self contained one bedroom apartment, with a wheelchair compatible bathroom. She had two rooms and a narrow hallway with which to work. This was in previously underused part of the house, that had access to the street. By taking out a double brick wall, opening the hallway widely to the bedroom, her design has made the bathroom both spacious and wheel chair friendly. The kitchen design utilises part of the original hallway which added bench and cupboard space. Also, making a large opening between the two rooms has changed what was quite dark, into a lovely light filled appartment. The result is both simple and elegant. I am extremely happy and grateful for Renuka’s excellent design.”
