A Sydney based Architectural firm with a residential emphasis, we are focused on interpreting and translating our clients' needs and sites into comfortable and inspiring built personal environments which enrich their lives. Our portfolio features a series of quietly unique designs, each a response to its particular circumstance. Principal, Peter Janks, has amassed more than 4 decades of experience across two continents whilst delivering a growing portfolio of thoughtful, considered architecture, finely detailed and executed. Having previously been a partner in an award-winning architectural firm in South Africa before moving to Sydney in 1988, Peter heads up a focussed boutique practice specialising mainly in quality residential work, some in successful collaboration with colleagues Marianne Halmos and David Walker. The firm takes a lot of trouble to establish, understand and respond to client requirements and objectives as well as the potential of the sites to which they introduce us. We work very closely with our clients, guiding them through the whole process, from initial briefing, through design, documentation, authority approvals and construction leading to final completion and handover. Every project is approached with an open mind and we strive each time to achieve a personalised solution that is well-designed, environmentally and climatically responsive, and documented, managed and executed with acute attention to detail. We are always striving to achieve buildings that quietly "reasonate and sing" for our clients and others.
