My first suggestion would be to change the bench tops to a light colour - (antique white) ceaser stone or granit depending on your budget. Replace Tiles above the sink, again a light cream/ antique white colour splash back either in glass, creaser stone or a tile. Looking at the photos you have posted and also reading your post about the interior of your home featuring brick and western red cedar timber. My next suggestion would be to stay with a timber kitchen ( the western red cedar) a different style cupboards instead of the loover doors. As I feel that lighter coloured kitchen cupboards would look odd and not suit the style of your home. Your floors remove the green carpet tile( I think this is what they are?) and replace with a light coloured tile,extending to your family room. I hope this help you .

I would be more concerned with how those two cabinet colours work with your wall colour and concrete palate. I think one will be more favourable than the other if you can put samples together. Also keep in mind what lighting you'll be using. Since if you have cooler colours then 'cool white' 4000K lighting will look best, likewise if you have the warm Alabaster colour then 'warm white' 3000K would be best.

Kitchen looks great, is that Smartstone Statuario Venato on the island? We have worked with mirror alot if you have something worth reflecting back into the kitchen. Otherwise we love glass splashbacks. Perhaps white to colour match cabinets. Subway tiles are popular but it does set a certain tone. Smartstone have a huge gallery online so you can see what others have done with the same tops. My client has used a mixed marble on her splashback. My other client using the same stone has done the simple white subway. Great job!

Also love how you have reduced the plinth, I did that with our wall of pantry cupboards so that they wouldn't be too tall and difficult to reach things on the top shelves cheers
