I have a whole wall that I need to block off with some sort of door. I'm thinking that a bi-fold door would be awesome. However, my husband kind of wants a sliding door. I just think how cool it'd be to have a whole wall made up of a door that could easily be tucked away when needed. This would make outdoor barbecues a lot easier. It would sure save me from having to open the door every time. http://www.superiorwindows.com.au/content/Products/BifoldDoors.aspx

I don't think you can go wrong with a large timber door. The colour should contrast with the granite nicely and will even help soften all the colder surfaces. Have you seen any doors you like? https://www.houzz.com.au/products/front-doors-prbr0-br~t_10816

If you paint all entry doors same colour as walls they tend to ‘disappear’ and won’t compete with the robe doors. Re the drawer set up fold some of your own & partner’s clothes the way you want them to fit in your new cabinetry and measure from there. A 9cm height could be a great underwear drawer, or if you have power to the back if it a charging station for phones & laptops. Make a careful inventory of everything that needs to fit and decide from there.

swinging doors need a much bigger space to open and block access to side walls unless they open outwards (also harder to waterproof) and you remove the car...we have a rear 2.4m wide roller door without any intention of driving through to the rear garden (although occasional rear car access doesn't cause too much harm to the grass) but the wider opening is so much better for more light and easy access with a wheelbarrow or lawnmower and we have a 1.2m narrow concrete path across the outside rear of the garage to extend the total floor area which is ideal for working with table saw etc i suggest you cost the roller door with or without controller as the twin hinged door with suitable handles and locks may not be any cheaper and far less convenient
