I had a space like that in my kitchen we instaled pull out racks .you can use them to store spices ,bottles or cleaning equipment. In the wider space we have made one small draw at the top and very deep draw underneath for baking dishes and cutting boards,best think I ever thought of.

I would put cupboard doors and mount things on the inside of the door to make them easily accessible, like a spice rack, tea towel holder, dispensers (glad wrap, alfoil, paper towel)

It's really not good for anything. Above the bench, the gap between the pantry and wall, use a thin strip of gyprock cut, pushed just behind and colour matched to pantry.
Bottom part the same or preferably get another door panel And kick board to match and just box it in.

Maybe make some small square compartments (similar in size to a wine rack) and use it to store tea towels and/or table clothes rolled up and on display. You know like some bathrooms you can have your towels on display in the shelving, that kind of idea?? Then they'll be on hand if you need it... or perhaps, a hanging arrangement of your paper towels, cling wrap and alfoil??

With a cupboard door on each space all sorts of things are possible. It's hard to judge the depth of the spaces, but if they are deep enough for spray cans or food tins, there's clearly a good use there. Just add some narrow shelves of the correct depth. I really like Oskuee's idea of a cupboard for cutting boards. In the second pic, assuming the area is big enough for this, install a door that pulls open like a dishwasher (although not that fully) and cutting boards will slide in easily to store and be similarly easy to access. If the space is big enough, it may even do for trays. If it's too small, put the same pull-down door on it but just use it for storing bin-sized plastic bags for re-use, or kitchen wraps and foil. Both areas look big enough to house a lot of spices, but may be a bit low down for that... and if you don't use spices a lot, they may just get forgotten. The area around the wall that juts out is a bit uneven, and probably hard to keep spotlessly clean. Perhaps it's a good spot for a fire blanket and fire extinguisher... behind a door, of course. Right next to the stove seems to be the perfect spot for that. Good luck.

How about a pull out glass rack next to your wine rack? The gap next to the oven doesn't look very big and I'd be thinking banking trays there. Good luck

To the right of the wine rack looks like enough space for a shelf for your chopping blocks. If you have any bench top left over, you could make a bottom and a middle shelf.

measurements would have helped, there are so many ways to use this space and not waste it. Really wonder why people cant think outside the box. could even have glasses near wine bottles, the ideas are endless, and so many easy to find on internet just searching for use of strut spaces :) enjoy researching, you will be amazed at what is out there :)

"Really wonder why people can't think outside the box"... I think recognising a potentially useable spot, posting pics on Houzz and asking for a range of suggestions IS 'thinking outside the box'. I know when building and renovating I get 'good ideas fatigue', and Houzz is a great place to re-boot myself.

Apologies Susan, wasnt meant as a dig, guess we were bought to think outside the box, so its second nature to us, that I forget others didnt have the same opportunities, and dont have harddrives full of ideas and old photos , but is is great to see some of the ideas coming through not only Houzz, Pinterest, UTube etc, Always good to see ideas, :)

Personally I would just fill them in. The area next to wine rack could have a hinged fold out work bench attached.

A bit of air next to an oven is a good idea. One place I lived the oven used to heat the adjacent cupboards up to a high level. Landlord said he would act but he never did. What does the oven manual say?

Whilst I love the idea of the narrow pull out spice cupboard the heat will destroy them so close to the oven and it's expensive replacing them all the time. I'd be thinking a pull out for cutting boards or tea towel racks or even trays there.

The space next to the wine bottles seems to be wide enough for two wine bottles but hard to say without measurements. If so I'd extend the wine rack and box up the untidy space in front of the support.

It is not wise to store wine next to the oven. Just make a deep draw for cutting boards or trays
