Splashback - I need help PLEASE!!!
Comments (24)We had a white kitchen (I know it's not white in the photo- that's another polytec story that ended up in a warranty claim replacement kitchen- hence the change in colour now) and I decided to go with mirror tiles though grout always an issue however so unnoticeable with the mirrored tiles easy to clean too. Each tile is a different mirror effect so doesn't show any grease spots at all. I love my choice- a little pricier but worth it I say!...See MoreWhite glass or mirror splash back in kitchen??
Comments (70)Awesome!! Actually macymacmaples, the mirror will date more than the white glass. My cupboards will be white handleless polyurethane...and I'm gonna choose Ceasartsone Calacatta Nuvo as my benchtops :) hagan - My painter (which is my cousin) lol, also wants me to do vivid white ceilings..but I'm thinking of just keeping it the same and doing Natural white ceilings too as I don't like contrast...I prefer it to all blend....Dunno yet tho, will keep u updated ;)...See MoreCreating a brighter looking kitchen with existing cabinetry
Comments (3)Thank you for your kind words :-) I loved working on this project. The clients' cabinets were pre-existing, so I don't know the exact colour. However, they were similar to a Resene paint colour called "Flotsam", which is similar to a pale grey with a hint of mauve/purple tint or in a Flexi Panel - Oyster Grey. I hope this is of help!...See Morekitchen splashback advice sought please!
Comments (3)It may be a matter of Style, If you are using Shaker Doors and your kitchen is more in the traditional Federation (Hampton) style then Subway tiles will work well. On the other hand if you are using the Shaker with a more modern feel in a Transitional Style then yes Glass or Smoked Mirror will work (as well as provide you with a smart looking, easy to clean splashback. Hope this helps, Malcolm...See More- 11 years ago
